For Children between 0-6 Years

Srijan Early Intervention Unit

Early intervention program which aims at providing therapeutic & educational services to young children between 0-6years. It was started in February 2020 to help infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or are at risk for such delays.
The goal of the program is to help children as soon as possible, so that they can reach their full potential. Getting help early can make a big difference in a child’s life. Parental training and counseling is an integral part of the program.
This program works as a mediator between the child & his/her environment. It helps him/her experience organize, understand & react better to the information received from the world around. Through this mediation he/she learns to develop a meaningful relationship with people & objects around & acquires various necessary communication skills. The program focuses on the child & the family together & the family remains an integral part of the program.
There are 12 children with one special educator & a caretaker devoted to them. An Occupational Therapist & a Speech Therapist from the Diagnostic & Counseling Clinic also tend to the Unit.
